Fees

A fee is your cut of a transfer, set as a rule per application. It is assessed when the transfer is created, collected when it settles, and accrues into an account of its own.

0.25% of the amount — 0.25% of $2,400.00 is $6.00.

The waterfall: gross in, your fee and the platform fee drawn, net settled.

Four shapes of rule

Set a formula once and it applies to every transfer: a flat fixed amount; a percent (a rate in basis points, rounded your way); a capped percent (a rate up to a ceiling); or a ranged percent (different rates across amount bands). One rule, the whole book.

Two fees, named

Two fees come off a transfer. Your app fee, which you set and keep. And the platform fee, VantaCrest's, which you can see but do not set. The gross enters, both are drawn, and the net is what settles to the destination.

Assessed, then collected

The fee is assessed at creation, so it is known up front and shows on the quote. It is collected only when the transfer actually settles. No settlement, no collection.

Into an account of its own

Collected fees accrue to a fee collection account with its own balance and history. Every collection is a recorded entry you can read back and reconcile.
